He was born in Rzhev in 1930. Studied in art school in Yaroslavl, in 1953 passed faculty of theatrical painting of the Moscow art school in memory of the year 1905. Passed the State institute of theatrical art. Worked at Tomsk drama theatre, in Kalinin dramatic theatre as art director and main artist. In 1960 Vsevolod Solodov jointed the Union of artists. He is also well-known interior decorator: Solodov decorated hundred public places like Tver puppet theater, House of Trade-Unions, regional houses of culture and many other interiors. Solodov worked also in genre of book illustration. Paintings of Solodov are stored in various museums and in private collections both domestic and foreigner. He was exponent of domestic and foreign exhibitions. In Solodov's records a number of personal exhibitions. Vsevolod Solodov helped the evolution of several generations of national masters and today continues to supervise work of the Tver amateur painters.
Since 1970 landscape painting prevails between Solodov's oeuvres. During 50 years Vsevolod Solodov greatly contributed art life of Upper Volga region. Solodov justifiably can bear the title of the landscape master. His paintings yield due praise to nature. They express the individuality of this artist, his vision.
Personal exhibitions of Vsevolod Solodov regularly took place in Moscow, Tver and other cities of Russia.
The personal exhibition of the artist was carried out in Sofia (Bulgaria).
His works are stored in Tver picture gallery, regional art museums of Russia, art gallery of Bergamo (Italy).
